LOVE LOVE LOVE this book! I’m reading it now. It’s sitting in the nightstand for when my new baby is WAKING in the middle of the night and I’m trying to stay awake feeding her.
July 6th, 2009 at 10:26 am
I RTed this for you! I’ve been wanting to read this book ever since JP wrote those issues of Wonder Woman. I use audiobooks for the same thing, Jennifer! My 2 month old is almost sleeping through the night … but audiobooks keep me awake when she is. I’m desperate for a new one though. I am NOT a fan of the narrator on the book I’m listening to. The book itself is wonderful, though!

I adored this book. I’ve wanted to use this as a book club selection for the last two years, but couldn’t afford a class set at the trade price. SOOOO glad it finally went to mass market so I can offer it as a selection for the upcoming school year. A free copy of the audiobook would be a bonus!

I loved the movie and look forward to reading thebook!
July 6th, 2009 at 7:56 pm
We’ve been using more audio books as my homeschooled kids have more summer activities that keep us away from home. This sounds like a story that would make the reader think.
I’ve also been encouraging our library to get more audio for the many English language learners that we have.

Thanks for the entry!

I am not sure what side I am concerning this issue. I mean you can only plan so much in this life and the rest is up to God to decide. Well, at least that’s how I feel about it.
July 7th, 2009 at 5:15 pm
I would love this!

I would love to read this book but don’t have time-I’ve committed myself to 6 books for summer PD and have no time for fun reading! It would be great to have it on audio so I can listen to it while I’m driving. My daughter-who hates to read-is deeply engrossed in this book right now. That’s a sure sign that it’s a good book!
July 9th, 2009 at 10:41 am
This book is one of the most compelling reads ever. I would love to add the recording to my class collection. It has so many lessons to share.
July 9th, 2009 at 11:35 am

July 10th, 2009 at 11:35 am

Tremendous and mesmerizing subject matter. Heart-rending!
July 10th, 2009 at 11:39 am
I think I remember the controversy when this family made the decision to have the younger child. I haven’t read the book or seen the movie yet, but I’m looking forward to it.
July 10th, 2009 at 11:42 am
The movie is on our “gotta buy when it hits DVD” list already. Our patrons LOVE Jodi Picoult and they’re thrilled about the movie!
July 10th, 2009 at 11:55 am

I haven’t read this book yet! I would love to before I see the movie.
July 10th, 2009 at 12:42 pm
The Pact kept me up nights and made me want to lock my teenage son in a closet to keep him safe. I’m looking forward to reading this one. Such a cool theme!
July 10th, 2009 at 12:46 pm
Picked up Recorded Book randomly from the library. I recommended it to the psychology teacher for her book club. It was a hit.
July 10th, 2009 at 12:56 pm
Please enter me for the contest. This is such a good book for many readers and is on a lot of reading lists this summer. Great pick for the contest.

July 10th, 2009 at 1:31 pm

July 10th, 2009 at 1:33 pm
So many books; so little time! I too would love to have the audio to have available for students.
July 10th, 2009 at 2:02 pm
We did a substantial weeding at my middle school library just before the end of school, rearranged some sections, and left room for expansion of others. We’re supposed to get new carpet over the summer, too! I want to increase the number of audio titles I have available, and add more YA selections in order to pique the interests of my older students. Jodi Picoult’s books certainly seem like the type of materials we are looking for. Thanks for the opportunity to participate in your contest. I hope I win!!
July 10th, 2009 at 2:06 pm
Read the book, haven’t seen the movie. My high school students would also love to have the audio for this book.
July 10th, 2009 at 2:07 pm
I have not read the book, and would love the audio book. I wish to read or listen to the audio before watching the movie. It is always so much better.
July 10th, 2009 at 2:16 pm
Sounds like a very contemporary issue — would like to have the audio.
July 10th, 2009 at 2:27 pm
Have not read the book, but SO want to! Have heard nothing but wonderful things about it! Would love to donate the audio book to our school library…after I have listened to it, of course!
Am impatiently waiting for the movie to get to our area. Thank you for this opportunity!!
July 10th, 2009 at 2:32 pm
I am constantly on the go and cannot sit to read a book usually. I would like the audiobook before I see the movie.
July 10th, 2009 at 2:43 pm
My teen girls love this book; it doesn’t stay on the library shelves. I would like to make the book available to students in the audio format, especially for those who are poor readers for whom the thickness of the book is daunting.
July 10th, 2009 at 2:56 pm
I loved this book! I think by now I’ve read all of the Jodi Picoult books but this is still my favorite.
July 10th, 2009 at 3:11 pm
This is the first book by Picoult that I’ve read. Very thought provoking. Really enjoyed it.
July 10th, 2009 at 3:22 pm
My students and staff just LOVE anything that Jodi writes. Such controversial topics and great discussion starters!
Thanks for contest!
July 10th, 2009 at 3:38 pm

July 10th, 2009 at 4:01 pm

July 10th, 2009 at 4:38 pm
I have been wanting to read this book before I see the movie, so congrats on recording it!
July 10th, 2009 at 5:16 pm
This emotional story really seems to strike a chord with a lot of tweens and teens. I would love an audio copy in my middle school library!
July 10th, 2009 at 5:30 pm
This is a sad book, but worth reading. I would love to add the CD to my Classroom audio center.
July 10th, 2009 at 5:39 pm
What an awesome title to add to any library collection! The audio format is so helpful for struggling readers and for English Language Learners, but is sometimes cost prohibitive with limited budgets.
July 10th, 2009 at 6:59 pm
Would love to have this title. Just did an interview on a local teen radio program about turning books into movies. Great motivator for reluctant readers.
July 10th, 2009 at 8:11 pm
Planning a books to movies promotion. Would love to have this in audio format as well.

July 11th, 2009 at 8:24 am
All of our Picoult teen fans have read the book and are looking forward to the movie – wish it had better reviews in our local newspaper however!
July 11th, 2009 at 8:57 am
What a wonderful addition to my class library; the children will experience real, raw emotion and learn to empathize with real life people.
July 11th, 2009 at 9:10 am
This book is incredibly emotional and makes the reader pause to consider how far they would go if their own sibling was critically ill. Jodi Picoult is a master at unpredictable endings!
July 11th, 2009 at 9:13 am
Great title, great read. Facing a such a tough life decision in a young life makes you mature fast. So many teens are faced with all kinds of tough choices — this is a very thought provoking book.
July 11th, 2009 at 9:28 am
I’d love a copy
July 11th, 2009 at 12:28 pm
This book was so popular in my library that I had to keep purchasing copies until I hit 15. That was 2 years ago and those books are still being read. The other really great thing with this book being so popular is that it has lead most of those readers to her other books. I can’t keep them in! What a great thing to say about an author’s books in a library.
July 11th, 2009 at 12:37 pm
Thanks for the opportunity to win this wonderful book for our classroom recorded books library. It will be a fabulous addition.
July 11th, 2009 at 1:43 pm

I guess the book is OK to read, but I know the CD is a fabulous listen . With a different reader for each character, the whole thing feels like a real life drama. If you don’t win, be sure to check out your public library for a copy to listen to. I just wish all her books were on the NetLibrary downloads!
July 11th, 2009 at 10:08 pm
My students love this book. I can’t keep it on the shelf.
